Shequita and I did a little snowboarding extravaganza over the new year. On December 29, 2018, we drove into Salt Lake City, Utah and chilled with my awesome and former college roommate, Greg, and his family, who graciously let us us stay with them. Over the course of the next three days we stayed with Shequita’s sister and visited two Utah mountain resorts. Both were about thirty minutes from the city in adjacent canyons.

We spent December 30th at one of the top ski resorts in the United States, Snowbird. It’s a difficult mountain because there are no groomers — however the snow falls is what the runs will be like — but it’s super fun.

On New Year’s Eve, we snowboarded Solitude. It was beautiful and sunny, while it snowed all day. It was a little more fun this day, because there were a variety of runs.
When we got back to Shequita’s sister’s house, we were supposed to just take a quick nap and celebrate New Year’s Eve with them, but we woke up at 12:05AM. :/

At least we were rested for our drive back home to Las Vegas, Nevada the next day. We pretty much just stopped back home to pack, because then we were back on the road on the 2nd, heading to Flagstaff, AZ. We snowboarded January 2nd-5th there, at Snowbowl. It was really cold, yet sunny– and FUN!

In Flagstaff, we also saw the movie Escape Night, which you’ll like if you like Saw. On the east side, we found an amazing pizza place called Fat Olives.
