It was a beautiful, beach wedding Jamie Young and Jazzlyn Stanzione had at Marival Residences and Luxury Resort in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico. Their ceremony took place at sunset with a Sand Ceremony to demonstrate their unity, while butterflies were released above our heads. Instead of uncomfortable dress shoes, my toes rested in the sand. We held sparklers for the couple during their First Dance as fireworks went off just behind them. Essentially, they were dancing in fireworks, making it an epic moment.
As this was a DreamTrip wedding, we enjoyed a very chill vacation besides the wedding. We got in on Sunday afternoon, chilled out, and attended the Welcome Party at Brunelle Bar to say “Hi” to everyone. There I got to see my favorite concierge in the world, Carlos Gallardo. He’s a great dude and extremely helpful. After the Welcome Party, we watched an absolutely beautiful sunset and had some drinks at Insu.
On Monday, we just chilled at the beach. The Marival Resort has the best service ever! As you relax on the beach in a private cabana, waiters walk by and hand you fresh fruit, take your orders, and deliver your food. Also that day, I learned I need to brush up on my Spanish, because I was in a bit of a situation when I had replace my phone charger at Mexican Walmart, which looks weirdly the same as US Walmart, but nicer.
On Tuesday, we went zip-lining on 8 lines, all hundreds of feet above the ground and between valleys. I did one upside down. As I’ve mentioned, I have a horrible fear of heights, but somehow I find zip-lining to be sooo fun. At the zip-lining place, they also have really good food. We had fried bananas and did a tequila tasting, where we sampled 8 different ones.
Wednesday was when the wedding took place with a reception on the pool deck. We flew home Thursday.
A little tip for those traveling to Nuevo Vallarta: I now know that I need to book the Hidden Beach even before I book the hotel, because now they only allow 100 people a day to visit the beach. If you’d like to know any more about traveling there, or anywhere else of the many places I get to vacation to, feel free to contact me.
