Over Labor Day weekend, I was at the leadership retreat in Leavenworth, a Bavarian Village in the Cascade Mountains in Central Washington, about three hours from Downtown Seattle.
Twenty-four leaders from around the country gathered to come up with a vision for where they wanted Team Infinity to go. Normally, we only see each other at the big events and only get about 15 minutes together or don’t see each other at all. This time it was great to get to know everyone more intimately and get an understanding about their lives, where they came from, what drew them into the travel club, and who each of them is as a person.
A few days before the retreat, I visited my good friends, Ahmad Corner and Andrew Bond in Seattle and, of course, did some presentations for the business. Then I took the beautiful Steven’s Pass drive through the Cascade Mountain Range. I consider this area to to be my “home” for snowboarding, so this time it was cool to see it with no snow on it.
During the retreat, we hiked its Icicle River Trail and floated on inner tubes, drinking beer, down the Wenatchee River. At least I was happily floating until I hit a rock and fell in the 69-degree water, sending my tube sailing down the river! Somebody kindly came back with the tube moments later. 🙂
If you’d like to know what it’s like to be a part of such a remarkable team (who will save you in a river lol) or want to know how you can travel to a lot to beautiful places, contact me.
