On January 20, 2015, I took a 7-day, 6- night trip to
Louisville, Kentucky. I’ve done a good amount of zip-lining over the years, but this was the first time I zip-lined inside a cavern! About ten of us, Joel Bloomquist of AZ, Cassie Garrison from OK, Lindsay Jensen, Timothy Gonzales (NM), Bridget Elias, Kate Riley (OH), and Jade Valentini of Florida, received a private tour from Louisville Mega Cavern.
We went on two distillery tours, one at Jim Beam and one at Maker’s Mark. I have a new favorite bourbon now: Maker’s Mark 46. I got to dip a bottle of it in wax myself! I’ve decided I’m going to save it forever– unless someone can give me a fantastic reason to bust into it… 😉
For the six nights, we stayed at the Hyatt Louisville Downtown, which is close to EVERYTHING. On Sunday night we had an exclusive, member-only party where we rented out the Sports and Social Club on 4th Street Live, the bar district in Louisville.
However, this was actually a work trip. Yes, this is what is considered “work” in the Old Spice Lifestyle. The main purpose for going was the business and personal development conference, called Momentum. It was an amazing leadership seminar with 13,000 people held on Saturday and Sunday. I got to see friends from all over the US, which I hadn’t been able to for four months.
