I attended the View From The Edge personal development seminar in Las Vegas the 27th through the 29th of October 2017. It was freaking awesome! There are so many exciting developments happening that it truly feels like we’re moving into the next iteration of this company — the 2.0 version!
Here’s how it went:
My team members started arriving at my house on Thursday. I had four staying at the house, including the two of us, so there were six people in the house –full, but fun.
Friday, we had check-in and the first session for the event at the Thomas and Mack Center, where big national events take place, such as the UNLV Rebels basketball games and the National Finals Rodeo. The first session was to tell us the exciting news about the expansion of the partnerships with local restaurants. We’ve grown to include over 6,000 worldwide restaurants in the last year and a half, and we are just going to keep adding more. This partnership allows members to earn points while they’re on vacation, just by eating at the local restaurants. Not only does this deal provide members a guide to local flavor, but they’ll be earning toward their next vacation while enjoying the one they’re on!
Saturday was when the huge event took place. It was the best event this company has ever put on, that I have been to. The energy was the off the chain! As I mentioned in a previous post, View From the Edge is composed of character-driven plays designed to make people think about what might be holding them back from achieving what they want. The characters in these plays were amazing and the talks were tremendously inspiring. One of the major themes of the event, was the idea that we need to take action — Massive Action! They also explained what’s on the horizon with the card, the card that eliminates the need for everything in your wallet, and they revealed the big announcement of the new, bigger earning possibilities they’ve rolled out. This is what’s coming:
- Members can now earn points for eating and the Reps earn money off the consumption of their members. In other words, when their Members consume, Reps earn money.
- There is a new Rewards program, where members use points earned at restaurants to pay for hotels, cruises, car rentals, wine, and everyday items, such as vacuum cleaners. They earn one dollar per point. We used to only be able to use points on trips and now we can use them on all kinds of things! We can eat our way to a vacation and then on the vacation, earn points that we can spend at home — or on the next vacation.
These announcements and the whole event invigorated my whole team so much that we went home with our guns blazing and our boots in the saddle.
The event wrapped with a massive Halloween party on Sunday.
