I came back to my old home, Tucson, AZ, to attend SMSGT Michelle Oddo’s retirement ceremony from the Air Force, after 22 years of service. It was fun to surprise her by my attendance, because she hadn’t thought I’d make it now that I live in Las Vegas. Michelle is one of my team members, so there were multiple team members in attendance — we all become like family and support one another. It took place at Hacienda del Sol and it was nice to have drinks and food with everyone by the pool after the ceremony.
I had arrived on Thursday, the day before the ceremony. Thank you to Cody and Gloria Andrews for picking me up from the airport and taking me to my favorite Tucson pizza spot: 1702 Pizza & Beer. Joel Bloomquist met us there — shout out to him for letting me crash at his house. Afterwards, we headed to Maloney’s Tavern on 4th Ave and caught up, because I hadn’t seen him in a long time. This trip was mostly about just hanging out with my Tucson team members.
Friday, I did talk some business and laid out some plans for the future with my friend Ken and my cousin Emanuel Carter. They set goals and we discussed ways to increase both of their businesses. I love helping my team strategize and get the most from their efforts.
I was supposed to fly out Saturday at 7:45AM, but after I arrived at the airport, the flight was canceled and I rebooked for 5PM. Instead of hanging out at the airport, Cody and Gloria picked me up again and included me in their plans to see Wonder Woman, then they dropped me back off at the airport. How awesome it is to have friends all over the world that you can go and spend the day with rather than sitting at the airport for 10 hours! If you’re interested in this travel lifestyle, let me tell you more.
