Like I’ve said before, I define freedom as the ability to use my time for what’s important to me. Spending time with my mother is one of those. I’m going to visit her in San Antonio June 8-14, 2016. Did I choose these dates from the precious 10 vacation days allotted to me by a 40-hour/week desk job? Nope, this guy doesn’t have one of those. I make my own schedule. So when my mom asked if I’d run a 5k with her two states over, I planned a trip around it. I’m happy to be able to visit my mother regularly, check in on her, and stay close. I’m grateful that my work affords that. By the way, my mom is also in the business and enjoys the tax benefits it affords her.
